Australian industrial meat producers are already investing in clean meat by setting up their own research departments. This is an emerging industry which is still at the start-up stage, with businesses raising funds to scale their processes and bring down production costs.

There has been an influx of investment into cultured meat, with estimates that it will be on sale to the public within the next three years.

Richard Branson and Bill Gates have both invested in Memphis Meats, a pioneering San Francisco based clean meat start up. These two are skilled at recognising profitable ways to disrupt industries.

The cultured meat industry is a great way for ethical investors to get involved with disruptive technology and generate a great return.

As with any type of investment, it is important to do your research (to back up your gut instincts) and seek the advice of a reputable investment advisor.

Don’t put your eggs in one basket, consult with your advisor and spread your dollars across two or three promising companies.
